SUMMARY
As an art instructor, my method of teaching fosters a growth mindset in students, encouraging them to appreciate the art process and embrace its’ challenges. I provide opportunities for students to make their own artistic discoveries with a variety of mediums and materials. As a team member, I collaborate with core content teachers through cross curricular lesson planning, incorporating core content into my lessons and arts integration into theirs. Within the arts department, I have experience with organizing and developing a budget for the visual arts department, the annual festivals and performances, and the visual arts showcase. As a member of a school community, I find value in and take pride in volunteering, participating, donating, and supporting my school in multiple ways. It is important for me to see myself growing with a school, while gaining new skills to benefit myself, my students, and my employer.
