Visual Arts Instructor

As an art instructor, my method of teaching fosters a growth mindset in students, encouraging them to appreciate the art process and embrace its’ challenges. I provide opportunities for students to make their own artistic discoveries with a variety of mediums and materials, to develop and recognize their unique qualities as budding artists. As a team member, I collaborate with teachers across content areas through cross curricular lesson planning, incorporating multiple disciplines into my lessons and arts integration into theirs. As a key member of an arts team, I enjoy planning and organizing special events to bring the community together and highlight student work and performances. As a member of a school community, I find value in and take pride in volunteering, participating, donating, and supporting my school in multiple ways. It is important for me to see myself growing with a school, while gaining new skills to benefit

myself, my students, and my employer.
